UConn is the dominant champion pick for the 2026 NCAA women's basketball tournament

Every dunk in women's NCAA tournament history

Close to half of Women's Bracket Challenge Game entries agree on one thing: UConn will be winning the title. Again.

The undefeated defending national champions are the title pick on 47.92 percent of WBCG players, pacing well ahead of the other teams in the field. Last year, UConn was the most popular champ pick as a No. 2 seed with 29.87 percent. This year, No. 1 South Carolina (11.29), No. 1 UCLA (9.72), No. 2 LSU (6.69) and the final top seed, Texas (6.60) follow the Huskies.

South Carolina recently entered March Madness unbeaten in consecutive seasons, but the Gamecocks didn't approach this year's UConn number in either 2023 (37.79) or 2024 (37.55)
