Western Washington wins the 2026 DII rowing championship

Western Washington won its second DIII rowing championship in three years on Friday, May 29. The Vikings also won the 2024 DIII championship. Western Washington secured the 2026 title with 30 points, placing ahead of Humboldt and Seattle Pacific with 20 and 17 points, respectively. 

The 2026 NCAA DII rowing championships began and ended May 29 at Lake Lanier Olympic Park in Gainesville, Georgia, hosted by Lake Lanier Olympic Park and University of North Georgia.

The NCAA Division II women’s rowing championships will provide for a maximum field of six teams in two events, requiring an Eight and a Four with a coxswain from each school. One team will be selected from each of the current three regions and three teams shall be selected at-large. Each of these events will cover a 2,000-meter course.
